Ah, 1968! I remember it well. I was in college in NYC, and I went to every anti-war demonstration I could – including Wallace’s infamous MSG campaign rally and the 1969 Washington DC Moratorium. Thank you, Oliver, for an excellent summation of that eventful year. I would mention that The Beatles ruled the counterculture world, and Revolution was in the air: Let It Be, Beatles style, or Let it Bleed, Rolling Stones style. Take your pick, or better yet, have a little of both.

Ironically, today it seems we are right back where we started. 2028 is likely to be a 1968 sixty year redux, perhaps this time in reverse. You did such an excellent job with this synopsis, I would very much like to read your take on what the next four years may be like. Not as a prediction, because we know a prediction can only make a fool out of the prognosticator, but rather as an analysis of where we are today to compare and contrast where we were in 1968 and leave it to the reader to see the future from the perspective of the past.

George Santayana comes immediately to mind.
