Am I naive to think that Repub disfunction may actually lead to majority rule?

Democrats might find the few sane Repubs left to form a functioning majority. If this were to happen in both houses, we may be headed toward a hybrid parliamentary Congress where a consensus majority rules.

This could resolve our broken duopoly without the need for a highly unlikely third-party. What are the chances?
