Curious how you cite an open primary as a talent contest when it was Biden who beat 26 candidates by a CBS count in 2020. And if I were to count every politician who answered questions with an incoherent word-salad I’d still be counting. Biden has one consistency which cannot be denied: He consistently outperforms his under ratings. So, until there is a viable alternative, he’s still the one to beat.

Non-viable alternatives in my book, just to name a few: Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, perennial gadfly Bernie Sanders, perennial loser Beto O’Rourke, and perennially disappointing Pete Buttigieg.

A presidential candidate must have the potential to win, first and foremost. IMHO the best and brightest with that potential, and to excite progressive Democrats across the nation are Governors Gavin Newsom and ‘that woman from Michigan,’ Gretchen Whitmer.

But until Biden is out and someone else is in…Let’s Go Biden!
