Freedom of speech may be sacrosanct, but the plethora of death threats and threats of bodily harm so 'popular' today are not free, they are a crime and should be prosecuted as such. They are intended to end speech, not to promote the free exchange of ideas which is what the First Amendment endeavors to protect. It is a line that should not be crossed.

Recall that Charles Manson never himself committed a murder but was convicted for directing others to carry out his wishes.
