Here’s the bait: Conservatives argue truth v. lies. Truth requires faith, and faith is subjective. One cannot win an argument over opinions.

Liberals argue facts v. fiction. Facts require evidence, evidence is objective. One can win an argument over demonstrable proofs.

Of course, this leads to other problems. Facts rely on science, experimentation and observation, rationalism and deductive reasoning, critical thinking. Falsifiability! To the 'modern' conservative mind [pardon for the obvious oxymoron], falsifiability equates to deniability.

In conservative thinking there is no room for error, things are either black or white [pardon the obvious pun]. The fundamental difference between conservative and liberal thinking is subtlety. Conservatives have none, liberals have nothing else.
