Hey, you forgot Jack Paar!
I was 13 and had just gotten a tape recorder for Christmas. “The Beatles” were already being talked about as a British phenom so I was ready and recorded “She Loves You” and watched them perform in a hail of Jelly-Babies. I was hooked. Still am.
This: “The Beatles were first introduced to American audiences on January 3, 1964 on "The Jack Paar Show". Jack Paar noticed the Beatles when he was visiting England in the fall of 1963 and a film crew captured them performing. The footage was shown on the Jack Paar Program, more than one month before the Ed Sullivan Show.”
Yeah, yeah, yeah!
