I agree. There is no hope for these hopelessly lost souls. Faith is called exactly that because it needs nothing else. No empiricism, no rationalism, no facts, and certainly no science. Faith is blind, and faith blinds.

These people are trapped in their paradigm. The story of Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler is informative. Brahe saw the sun rise and set over the earth. Kepler saw the earth turn on its axis round the sun. Kepler could never convince Brahe he was wrong, Brahe died with his paradigm.

Evangelicals don't need a "Come to Jesus" moment. They need to come to Kepler. But they won't.
