I do not disagree. My naiveté precedes me. I guess to the US, pro-democracy means OUR democracy trump’s [pun intended] other democracies. Amerika First and foremost. I find it sad that we don’t live up to our own founding principles, neither at home nor abroad, notwithstanding Lincoln’s “last best hope” aspiration. It’s a brutish world we human beings have created for ourselves; it is truly survival of the most savage.
