I guess you don't understand the American Constitution.

Nancy Pelosi was not "appointed." She was elected as the representative of her House district.

Nancy Pelosi is up for reelection every two years and has won elections since 1987.

Nancy Pelosi was also elected by a majority of the House to become Speaker of the House, as per Article 1 of the Constitution. You may dislike her policies, or even her personally, but your statement that she was "appointed" is FALSE.
