I took my share of LSD in the late 60's and early 70's. I never took it lightly; it was always planned. While the trips were full of paisley visions, musical scents and sounds of smells, with the five senses all firing at once and overlapping, the real benefit came when the trip was over. I always felt my brain had been washed clean of rubbish and I could see things and think things with renewed perspective.
Drugs and alcohol do not give you any benefit that you do not already have within you. They may merely temporarily remove the obstacles in the way of your realizing what you have and what you are. The good and the bad. If one chooses these vehicles, it should always remain one's choice.
What "Doctor Robert" did was dangerous, a violation of one's person, and definitely a crime.
Great song, though!
