I've endured 12 years of Roman Catholic education - grade school and high school. I think I know a LITTLE about the teachings of Jesus; but in adulthood mostly from my own readings. Likewise, the Constitution, American history, enlightenment philosophy. I like to think of myself as a "free-thinker" who has much to learn, yet doesn't take kindly to those who mischaracterize me. I'm perfectly capable of expressing my own opinions, and even of changing my mind.

Confrontation is not my style, there's much too much of that in the world as it is.
