Jesus knew what he was facing and he faced it with dignity and incredible bravery, even as Judas betrayed, Peter denied and the apostles fled. Jesus stayed, abandon by those who "loved" him. I personally do not burden myself to grapple with Jesus's divinity. It's enough for me to know that he died for his own belief in himself, his ultimate peace with humanity, and his trust in the Father. And, greatest of all, his faith in his singular message that comes down to us through the ages: Love thy neighbor as thyself.

The story of Jesus always comes down to this: Love is all you need.
