Of the article and all the comments, I agree with yours the most. The trial should never have been about race, but it was. In that context alone the verdict was at least understandable as nullification; payback for centuries of racial injustice. One injustice for another to even the score. An eye for an eye. Two innocent people paid that score with their lives.

The trial should have been about the premeditated brutal murder of two blameless people by a vindictive, disturbed, and very guilty, murderer – OJ Simpson.
