Once upon a time, Republicans were ashamed of Joe McCarthy. But the evaporation of Republicon shame began with Nixon-Agnew, turbocharged with Newt Gingrich, and reached its crescendo under Trump.
Republicons cannot be shamed, because they have no shame.
