Pretty scary stuff. Russia's built-in corruption is eating itself alive, but the world may pay the ultimate price - in death. Authoritarian dictatorships all suffer from the same systemic corruption, it flows from the top down. Democracies and/or republics may also suffer from systemic corruption, but generally in reverse: from the bottom up.

The former is virtually impossible to reverse, the latter is almost impossible to conceal.
