Proving that Jesus was not divine, but in fact a flawed human being. Do we not “cherry pick” virtues from vices for Washington a slave owner, Jefferson a rapist? Even Lincoln had wanted to send the Negroes back to Africa, or to Central America, or to reservations. Gandhi, too, had a dark racist side.

Our very own founding documents are once again exposed to be more aspirational than actual.

We are all human. And, yes, we do, we must “cherry pick” virtues from vices; otherwise, we must tar all of humanity with the broad cynical brush of unworthiness.

Being human is an imperfection from which neither I, nor you, can get beyond.
