Queen Elizabeth II is loved by her people for good reason. They trust her because she has earned their trust. I’d bet that most Britans, both young and old, know of the fortitude of the princess during WWII. I doubt that most young Americans even know who was our president during that war.

Unfortunately, Charles does not have the cachet of Elizabeth. No one does.
