South Park makes fun of everything and everyone because everything and everyone deserves to be made fun of every so often. But before we can laugh at others, we must be able to laugh at ourselves. South Park shows us that nothing is sacrosanct. It shows us that when we are forced to look deeply into ourselves, our own prides and prejudices are actually quite ridiculous.
