Spike, there is another level to this much, much deeper than Trump. White supremacy is the basis for all of this and it has been a hallmark of American politics since its inception. Our Original Sin was slavery, that transmogrified into the Civil War, Jim Crow, the Democrats of the 19th century turned into the Republicans of the 20th century and vice-versa. Think Father Coughlin, Joe McCarthy, Nixon, Reagan. All this pre-dated Trump. Its more than a cult, it is a paradigm and it has far from run its course. Even some Blacks have succumbed to its allure of power.

It must be defeated, soundly, in the 2024 election. Even so, Trump and his MAGAts will never accept those election results. Get ready for January 6 redux in 2025.

Vote, people! Vote as if your life and the lives of you children depend upon it. Because they do.
