Gavin Newsom just released a new (campaign?) ad pleading your case, calling out Republican leaders: "Republican leaders – they're banning books, making it harder to vote, restricting speech in classrooms, even criminalizing women and doctors. I urge all of you to join the fight, or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom."

I’d say that’s a pretty good enumeration of goals to fight for – regardless of whether Newsom is the best messenger. California, unfortunately, is always a favorite right-wing whipping post, and Newsom is tied to it.
