The race to extinction is exacerbated by capitalism. Capitalism is the accumulation of wealth – the greatest being for the fewest at the top. The race to extinction may be countered by population collapse. Either way, it’s a fight for survival over scarce resources. Whichever is the winner, is the ultimate loser.
