This is my epiphany for today! It never occurred to me but now that you’ve pointed it out it makes perfect sense. They’re called “Bible Thumpers” for a reason. Trump exploits their stupidity for his own political gain, as he has done his entire life. And I use that word because ‘ignorance’ connotes the possibility of education; ‘stupidity’ is the active abandonment of all rational thinking.

They are truly “Bible Trumpers.”
