With Trump, it started long before 2016. Ask any New Yorker – they know a conman when they see one. But you’ll never convince Trump supporters that they’ve been conned.

Trumpism began, continued, and ended with non-stop lies, through and through. From Obama “Birtherism,” to “I alone can fix it,” to "Mexico will pay for The Wall 100%,” to “We’re rounding the bend!” on Covid, to the ultimate lie: “I won!” Nothing but lies, lies and more lies; a lifetime of lies.

And yet they believe, and they will never stop believing in Trump’s “alternate facts.” They’ve been conned and that is one truth they cannot, they will not, ever admit.

Trump is perhaps the greatest conman who has ever lived. I’ll grant him that one greatness, that’s what will surely earn him his place in history.
