You are correct. Critical thinking is not part of the American grade school curriculum. Now, neither is cursive. They're taught block lettering so they can text message. The next generation will never be able to read for themselves the original Declaration of Independence or the original Constitution. They'll have to have it explained to them by the likes of red state schools controlled by the likes of DeSantis.
